1. Am I allowed to visit my child's classroom during the day?

Parents are always welcome to visit the school and their child's classroom. We hope that many of you will visit and take advantage of opportunities to observe your children in the school environment.

All school visitors must register in the school office. Students are not allowed to bring guests to school, as we cannot be responsible or liable for children that are not enrolled.

2. Can I volunteer at Picture Rocks?

Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are strongly encouraged and needed at Picture Rocks Intermediate. There is a volunteer sign-up campaign and orientation program early in the school year. If even on an irregular basis, please feel free to donate some of your time to the school. You will find it a rewarding experience and ultimately your child is the greatest beneficiary.

3. When are classes allowed to have a party?

Class parties are organized for Winter Break, Valentine's Day and the end of the year. Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to assist at one of these parties.

4. My child lost something at school. Where can we look to find that item?

Students are encouraged to keep track of personal items while at school. One important way to organize belongings it to make sure your child writes his or her name on items, especially things that are easily misplaced such as lunch boxes or jackets. A lost and found area is maintained in the cafeteria and students are encouraged to look for misplaced belongings before and after school.
